Scheme were the spawn of two rival street
gangs. Hailing from hood (better known as Brighton), The Sassys and
The Malones fought over turf for years. For the last 5 or so both
street gangs were happy with their territories - The Sassys controlled
everything, from the BP on Ditchling Road, to Preston Circus and
back up to the Surrenden fields... The Malones controlled the other
side of town; Seven Dials, Churchill Square and the majority of “Dyke” Road.
One evening in late 2003, The Sassys and The Malones were preparing
to fight - a fight to see who would control New England Road, (the
big hill in between the Seven Dials and Preston Circus), obviously
